Went home early today for the iQue. Got a message on my home automation app that suddenly several extensions/devices lost communication. Found out the DIN Rail PSU blew (12 years old though). Big city here. No shops selling these parts -_-. Make shift solution for now so everything works again.

So I have this nodded #gameboy DMG, I bought a rechargeable battery for it that is USBC chargeable. But the white battery lid is not the same white as the shell. So I tried to "fix" it. I used mechanical pencil lead to draw where the hole should be. #retromodding

Picked up the #virtualboy again from ages ago. Controller port broke off, someone probably pressed the connector in too hard. Super glue and baking soda, very sturdy now. But... used a bit too much, the opening slides over the port and now it touches the repaired part and won't close. #retrorevival

Visiting a vintage #arcade in the #netherlands in #alkmaar called "Vintagame". 1 floor arcade cabs, 1 floor pinball machines and ground floor has a bar, snacks, pool table and Switch2 hooked up to a projector. Everything on freeplay, entry is 15EUR for the arcade and pinball floors. #retrogamimg

Made some stickers to put on the crates so I know what is inside and don't have to look through them to find shit as much. Filled up empty space on the sheet with some stickers for my daughter. Colours are a bit too dark though. #retrogaming

Daughter started buying music CDs. So I thought I'd put the little PSone in her room to listen to music. But it is having a hard time reading the discs. On,off,on,off... It does play in the end though, just talkes a long time to start. Oh, and the speakers are utter crap... #psx #kpop

Mouse at work has been crappy for a while, but don't use it a lot (viva la trackpoint!). Finally decided to replace it, right button stopped working. Cheap Would have preferred an injection molded one in beige and without the extra scroll wheel, but with touchscroll instead. #amiga #commodore

Cooling down a bit in my swimming pool while playing Startling Odyssey 2 (#pcengine #jrpg, dev: Rayforce) after seeing someone post about it. Been playing it on and off, not bad, seems short enough for me and difficulty is OK. The voice acting gives it that bit of extra. Am about 2/3 in I think.

The AES with NeoPass was shipped to it's new owner and I didn't completely test the joystick... Turned out the SELECT key was stuck. It happened once or twice while I had the 161in1 cart in, but not after, so I didn't think it was the joystick. #neogeo #snk #retrorevival

Made a simple #pebble watch app so I can open my garage door with the watch. There was a similar app available, but it didn't work. Just enter the URL that needs to be called, add user and password with if needed. That's it. #pebblewatch #repebble

While I still had the 3-1 out, I might as well test it with the diagnostics BIOS I was kindly gifted by @pointerfunction.bsky.social. But same result. If I turn up the voltage to around 5.7V, I do get different results, a white or off-white screen. Any advice anyone? #retrorevival #neogeo
