Church was properly special this morning ☺️ I managed to get there in person again! The buses were running properly and someone helped me down the treacherous hill so it was so much easier too.

6kg cat is now asleep on me. He tried to push my kneecap out of the way because it's too lumpy to lie on. Fair enough I guess.
Had it confirmed that there is no way to access a local major supermarket as a wheelchair user unless you arrive by car. Because a landlord won't give permission for a new lift and the old one was condemned, years ago!
The fact that many of the people on UC are also working is not mentioned until way, way down in this Times story. Same for the detail that lots of previous benefits have been phased out and rolled into UC. But above all, the TPA is a pressure group funded by people who avoid and evade tax.
Welp. 26 today. Birthdays don't get any easier, not any less lonely.
Made vegan trifle to celebrate my unbirthday (I am home alone for actual birthday :/ ) and it was actually banging (and importantly, edible for my ridiculously useless stomach)
Having FND episodes/seizures in public is so embarrassing. Part of me (a big part) wants to never leave the house again. Really helpfully, the lift I have to use to get out of our housing development without getting up a ridiculous hill is broken, again.
I am truly sick of having FND already. These seizure things are the worst.
Somehow I started this year near enough bedbound and now I have plans to go out every day next week and it'll probably be fine? Having resources for assitive aids/tech, safe exercise and human support is literally life changing. I'm so lucky.
He is the most precious boy and I couldn't manage without him.
I think I had 2 confusing hours this morning of not having any migraine symptoms at all? Coming back now, my face is half numb and staticky, but that's a first in... 2.5 years?
He’d be believed, because it would feel right … because people wanted to believe things, because it’d make a good tale, because if you made it glitter sufficiently glass could appear more like a diamond than a diamond did. 💎
Words are important. And when there is a critical mass of them, they change the nature of the universe. (continuing with a short journey through Going Postal, by Terry Pratchett…)
I did it! I managed the whole thing and it feels amazing
Deciding to try and get to church on a Sunday morning for the first time in years on a day the buses aren't running is an interesting decision to be stubborn about... so also turning into planning for my longest wheel yet...

Turns out I just can't get into my nearest big supermarket as a disabled person who can't drive? Rage inducing for real.
Major news: I went on a whole trip into town by myself yesterday. Went to the library and sat in a public garden. And, get this, didn't even crash today? It has been *years* since I've been this able to do things.
Honestly, there are days I wish it wasn't excessive to just throw everyone I know into one group chat just for asking for help with things. I have a carers ticket for a comedy gig, but I haven't found anyone to take it yet. I need to find the courage to ask 🙄
I'm so horribly messed up and I don't think I will ever manage to do "community" again, despite it being what I long for most, and it's devastating.
I am emotionally exhausted and very much having a day of being very sensitive. Had to remove myself from a church group chat before I said things I'd regret, when I should have never started the conversation that struck too many nerves for me in the first place 🙄
I just want it to feel normal to feel like I'm a normal human being who gets to be connected to the world, rather than a crushed bug with no connection to anything.
I have such a wonderful time every single time I manage to make it out of the house to an event, but today I had an FND episode in front of a hall full of people I barely know (& some v good people I do know, thankfully), and then I have a breakdown about being isolated when I get home anyway 🤷
...yup, it's up, it's everything. I get very very attached to specific songs that get me through rough times. Crying anyway 🤷🏻🥹
I will infodump about Kelly Clarkson to anyone who will listen at the best of times, but today... end of her talkshow and therefore my emotional support kellyokes, being a UK fan waiting for things to drip onto social media... (if Sober isn't up in the next 12 hours I will cry)

Literally I have not been able to eat solid food for 10 months and the NHS still hasn't let me see anyone other than my GP (who has run out of options/knowledge). I feel like I'm constantly dragging myself back from slowly dying, completely unassisted, every other week.
I don't know how to explain that I have *feelings* about people "discovering"/realising their hypermobility symptoms as adults when I've been suffering dislocations since I was a child without sounding awful. The severity of my current complications is underestimated bc of my childhood neglect 🤷🏻
It isn’t a coincidence that many rich countries are accelerating policies to reduce immigration at the same time we are witnessing more natural disasters supercharged by climate change.
Writing my first bit of TDoR liturgy for a church project... Oof.
To be fair, if you're not listening to Hard Candy Christmas this week, you are doing this (and only this) August wrong.
Dolly Parton becomes the only artist in history to occupy the entire Top 10 of US iTunes with different songs.
