That moment of realization. When the second plane hit, I suddenly understood, and that moment of understanding with love with me forever. Twenty five years today. I know I'll never forget.

PNW. Not here to argue, just need a place to scream into the void.
A one-year-old appeared in immigration court in Arizona this month. The judge actually told this INFANT that they needed to file their asylum application before the next hearing or face deportation. No one with a heart (or a brain) can defend this. It is unconscionable. youtube.com/shorts/7514u...

"There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on— shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again." —George W. Bush, the *second* dumbest president ever.
The man simply cannot understand that MONEY does not form people's moral foundation.
Did you know that Supreme Court Justices are EXEMPT from federal misconduct laws? If they take undisclosed gifts or accept travel from wealthy donors, literally NO ONE has standing to file an ethics complaint against them. Not Congress, not the courts, not the people.
I'm pretty sure 'Delusional' was not on the list of presidential job qualifications.
Not just breaking the law, but bragging about it openly. 86 47. Time for him to GO.
Some more goodness coming out of the garden today.
Marked SAFE from vampires and social interactions. It's garlic harvest time!
I see these accounts pop up, they don't actually create any original material; it's all reposts, links, screenshots of other people's stuff, etc. They come out of nowhere and follow me (hoping for a follow back?). And they have tens of thousands of followers. Are they bots? Anyone know?
The largest branch of the military now has no Senate-confirmed civilian leader, and no Senate-confirmed General. This in the middle of a war with Iran, started by a draft-dodger, run by someone more concerned with how the military LOOKS than how they perform. This is what incompetence looks like.
I live in a state (WA) where ALL voting is done by mail. There's been a lot of talk about the USPS slow walking people's ballots and trying to reconcile names to questionable lists, etc. I don't actually have a choice, and neither does anyone else here. We will ALL be voting by mail.
I have to wonder if the things Trump SAYS about the elections are a problem or not. Hear me out: If he says they are rigged and mailed ballots are fraught with fraud - the only people listening to him (and thus less likely to vote) are his followers! The rest of us already know it's not true.

Flock cameras have no place in Texas. They can piece together an exact map of your behavior — the places you went and how long you were there. Flock calls this “pattern-of-life” mapping. Texans call it something else: government overreach.
I have a cougar prowling my neighborhood. It has been sighted ELEVEN TIMES, and has killed several of my neighbors livestock. Called Washington Fish & Wildlife, and they couldn't care less. They say we want a 'healthy population' of cougars in our state.
Can I just magically teleport to November and get all this wrangling over congressional seats done with? I'm SO TIRED of this staccato political whiplash; I just want sanity again!
I want a President who isn't stuck on the gradeschool playground. One whose stock in trade isn't name-calling and petty vendettas. One whose ego isn't so fragile that they surround themself with yes-men and sycophants. One who doesn't Sharpie the map when things don't go their way. Please.
President Trump signed an executive order on Thursday directing the federal government to rename Lake Ontario amid an escalating trade dispute with Canada . n.pr/4wVcHyF
Notes on grammar. Ending a sentence in a preposition is one of the most egregious grammar crimes one can engage in. But to casually split infinitives would be worse. Proofreading pervents misspellings, misunderstandings and oxford commas. And overuse of hyperbole is the worst crime of all time.
It always happens in threes. I find myself wondering if there is some other 80 year old that wears a lot of makeup that might depart unexpectedly... C'mon universe, let's finish the job.

Whether it's a trade war with Canada or an actual war with Iran, the pattern is the same: Americans are paying the price for the President's choices.
Trump has been hating pretty hard on communism this week - at least domestically... But then turning around and throwing a sloppy love-in for Kim Jong Un and Putin. I've said it before, but it bears repeating: EVERY accusation is an admission.

WE paid for the tariffs, and the market manipulation. WE paid for the Octogon on the White House lawn. And the reflecting pool. And the Ballroom. WE paid to put his name on the Kennedy Center, and to take it off again. WE paid for the war in Iran. WE paid to put children in prison camps.
The ability to get elected and the ability to speak truth to power are apparently unconnected. When the GOP members of Congress recover from their collective spinectomy, maybe they'll realize they've been licking the boots of the worst president this country ever had. I pity their constituents.
