I'm looking into datasets of building footprints with heights, at least city-scale. Most of them claim to have height, but actually have only elevation. I've got a few (for France, Japan and Netherlands) but I'd love to get a more diverse coverage. Any ideas?

I'm burnt out of discussing "AI". I don't care for the press releases from big companies. I hate having to comment immediately. I dislike "hot takes". I'm worried we, as scientists, are losing touch with scientific values. We've become customers, salivating at ads marketed to investors. 1/15
It happened again! Is Scholar Inbox using the same paper matching algorithm than OpenReview/CMT?
Scholar Inbox is recommending me papers that I'm reviewing. Good job, I guess? 😅

You can train your image-to-image flow matching model on badly aligned data, you just have to tell it how bad it is. 🫣 Great work from @lebellig.bsky.social and Aimi Okabayashi with cool applications to remote sensing. It's FlowEO 2.0!
The last project of my PhD is finally out! 🪴 It was a pleasure collaborating with Aimi on this work! We introduce A²BM: Alignment-Aware Bridge Matching, a new framework for image-to-image translation with weakly aligned image pairs. Paper 📄: arxiv.org/pdf/2607.16294
This "authors are volunteering to review" policy is starting to piss me off. You're assigning me 6 papers for next month? Come on, be serious. I understand everyone doing their fair share but I do think I've done more than most by now.

Important reminder: one of the most useful and important ways to avoid proliferation of shitty AI chatbots everywhere is to pass and enforce the rule that: 👉 Companies are legally responsible for what their AIs say.

Delighted to have successfully defended my PhD thesis on "Generative models for Earth Observation, from denoising to domain adaptation" 🪴 This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my colleagues, my PhD advisor, and my family and friends. Thank you all!
Georges is too humble to mention he brilliantly defended his PhD two weeks ago. 🎉 Check out his blog and look out for the manuscript, he has written the best recap on flow matching I have ever read. ⤵️
My PhD thesis manuscript will be available in the coming months, but I’ve written two blog posts based on the related work chapter: 1. Generative modeling with flow-based models 🪚 2. Data-translation with flow and diffusion bridges 🔨 Open to feedback and discussions! lebellig.github.io/blog/

I knew that some people developed "relationships" with LLMs. I've seen some examples in the press. I could imagine how bad it was. Seeing multiple stories unfolding live on a subreddit is, however, a whole other level of depressing: old.reddit.com/r/MyBoyfrien...
