Table mode added to FBB. It auto-calculates minimum leg clearance so people can make coffee, end tables, and such. Not the sort of thing you'd want to 3D print, but you can get all the math right for noise, CADR etc in software and then build it out of wood. www.filterboxbuilder.com?d=AQLAjvsGoP...

The Buy-It-For-Life Nukit Tempest Pro is now available in white, in addition to the original black. The PVC side panels can be replaced with a nice printed fabric gauze or mesh material for a more decorative look. cybernightmarket.com/products/the... cybernightmarket.com/products/the...
Gonna try this excimer lamp from @nukit.bsky.social (thanks for donating one to my cause!) to kill off agrobacterium after co-culture as a means of antibiotic-free plant bioengineering. Agrobacterium resurgence is a huge pain and often we use frontline antibiotics to clear it away.
The Torch 2 injection molds are being made. This is the last 3D printed working model. There are just a few fiddly bits on the PCB we are finalizing. Smol lady hands so hard to tell scale- it's a little chunky at 188mm x 60mm x 60mm but still much smaller than the original Torch kit.

Pic of the new replaceable bulb for the Torch 2. No more throwing out the entire fixture each time the bulb dies (Yes, it's nuts, that's how basically all Far-UVC emitters work, yes, the industry likes it this way). It should really drive the price of Far-UVC through the floor.

After a year+ of procrastinating, I've finally put together @nukit.bsky.social's Tempest air purifier, inspired by the fact I'm desperately trying to avoid my partner's COVID. 😭 Anyway, it's sleek as hell and runs so, so quiet. I particularly like the handles built into the top panel.
Our unusual customer in New York🫣 posted this to their Instagram and X (fortress_nyc). It seems they are pushing their Far-UVC and IAQ measures hard. Hopefully, customers will find it compelling, and other local businesses will do the same.

He's going to try Far-UVC and see if it makes mutants! (But seriously, the best way to test Far-UVC is to try and see if you can find a way to make it do bad things, not to try and prove it doesn't.)
Mmmm, forward mutagenesis. Doing a large experiment testing out my new UVC Death Beam irradiator head, with 25 watts of 254nm UVC power (+/- heat). Looking forward to more freaky plants soon! Zapped 700 seeds and hoping for 231 candidates across the seven dosages. 🌶️🔦🧬🧌🌱

Still the cheapest Far-UVC option available (not to mention the 3rd-party validation and great customer service). Not the most powerful but not everyone can afford a Sabre. There's also a 3D-printable case (open source, my design):

For those of you looking for mask/microphone options I just tested these two and they work pretty well, if a little loud. Cheap to try at least. If using a Zimi mask frame you can keep the microphone inside without it brushing your lips, maybe a slight breathing noise depending on orientation.
The Nukit Tempest Pro prototype checks out and is now being sent to production. It should be in overseas warehouses by September 1st.

So...I kind of had a hunch a while back that things might get precarious, so I stashed a shipment of Lanterns in a US warehouse, kind of a strategic Far-UVC stockpile for a future emergency. Things are looking...pretty bad, so better to have them in hands then on the shelf I guess.
Today I'm doing CFD modeling tests of near-field inactivation from different Nukit Lantern setups. We're starting with two Lanterns at 50cm. The power is a tad high and limits us to 2 hours without eye protection, but we'll try at different distances and angles and see of anything works
