The Torch 2 injection molds are being made. This is the last 3D printed working model. There are just a few fiddly bits on the PCB we are finalizing. Smol lady hands so hard to tell scale- it's a little chunky at 188mm x 60mm x 60mm but still much smaller than the original Torch kit.

Pic of the new replaceable bulb for the Torch 2. No more throwing out the entire fixture each time the bulb dies (Yes, it's nuts, that's how basically all Far-UVC emitters work, yes, the industry likes it this way). It should really drive the price of Far-UVC through the floor.

After a year+ of procrastinating, I've finally put together @nukit.bsky.social's Tempest air purifier, inspired by the fact I'm desperately trying to avoid my partner's COVID. 😭 Anyway, it's sleek as hell and runs so, so quiet. I particularly like the handles built into the top panel.

Black metal desktop enclosure with a bunch of visible fan grills, positioned in the corner of a room.

Our unusual customer in New York🫣 posted this to their Instagram and X (fortress_nyc). It seems they are pushing their Far-UVC and IAQ measures hard. Hopefully, customers will find it compelling, and other local businesses will do the same.

Mockup of how the Tempest Pro works with its VESA mount stacked on an Autopole using off-the-shelf hardware. Nearly silent, massive CADR in a small footprint for events and location work. It should be in the warehouse in about two weeks...

Still the cheapest Far-UVC option available (not to mention the 3rd-party validation and great customer service). Not the most powerful but not everyone can afford a Sabre. There's also a 3D-printable case (open source, my design):

For those of you looking for mask/microphone options I just tested these two and they work pretty well, if a little loud. Cheap to try at least. If using a Zimi mask frame you can keep the microphone inside without it brushing your lips, maybe a slight breathing noise depending on orientation.

The very first batch of Nukit Lanterns off the line this month went to protect the workers themselves. We now have Far-UVC in all working and common areas. Nukit is the first company in the world to protect its workers first- so they can protect you, with safe, effective, 222nm Far-UVC light.

So...I kind of had a hunch a while back that things might get precarious, so I stashed a shipment of Lanterns in a US warehouse, kind of a strategic Far-UVC stockpile for a future emergency. Things are looking...pretty bad, so better to have them in hands then on the shelf I guess.

Today I'm doing CFD modeling tests of near-field inactivation from different Nukit Lantern setups. We're starting with two Lanterns at 50cm. The power is a tad high and limits us to 2 hours without eye protection, but we'll try at different distances and angles and see of anything works
