For anyone in the huge smoke plume (MN to the East Coast), I'm intrigued by this DIY Corsi Rosenthal "wedge". I'd seen the CR boxes since the SF Bay area fires, but this seems more space efficient, uses the fan in the expected vertical orientation, and needs 2 v. 4 of the moderately spendy MERV 13s.
