[1/6] Celebrating a fantastic two weeks of species discovery in Buenos Aires. 👏🪸 Over the past fortnight, 18 scientists came together for an Ocean Census Species Discovery Workshop, hosted by Universidad Maimónides in partnership with @schmidtocean.bsky.social.
Great to receive funding from Ocean Census for @chrisgoatley.bsky.social expedition to expand sampling in the Solomon Islands, helping the team discover new species and document reef life in one of the world’s most important marine biodiversity regions.

Through the Species Discovery Awards, Agustín and team have discovered 8 new species of sea anemones from Austral Patagonia, Argentina. 🪸🔍 Species Spotlight: Collected in 2010 from the San Julián Peninsula, Harenactis sp. is morphologically distinct from the only two other known Harenactis species.
