I hate to say it, but did anyone really not see this coming? Twitch is owned by Amazon. Amazon. The "our workers can't use the bathroom" Amazon. One of the "good ones" they are not. But, really, who is? If you're a creator and you post to any platform your stuff is being stolen. It truly sucks.

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

I wasn't kicked out, some of my posts weren't even deleted. I'm shocked. But what can I say? Bigots want to pick fights, I have no issue pushing back against them.

Pogo last night was all excited at something she saw on our deck. Turned on our lights and it was a centipede. Closed the door so fast the Flash would've been jealous. Thankfully, screen was still there so no chance of getting in, but try telling my anxiety that.

Was using GOG's Galaxy launcher, but it was starting to become too fiddly and not recognizing a bunch, so I switched to Playnite. So far, so good. Anybody else using it?

Well now that that's done and my brain is just a pile of mush and I'm depleted from hanging out with other people, I'm going to snack on some crackers and pepperoni for dinner and partake of a panacea of wistfully being taken to other lands and worlds in some game. ✌️

With all the discourse we were craving Olive Garden. They said my driver's license wasn't good enough and since I didn't have my original long-form birth certificate or my notarized passport, I was only allowed to get the salad and breadsticks unless I gave them my full DNA profile. What a world.

I can't freaking believe it. My sunglasses have followed me for years, on multiple journies, and I think I lost them for good by leaving them on a bench 4 blocks from my home. Went back to look for them and they're now gone. Fucking hell.

What I learned on our 2500 mile trip visiting the southeast US is, truly, this land is staggeringly beautiful. Holding bigoted or racist views is really for the smallest, hateful, most closed-off minds. The south is beautiful and diverse and that should be celebrated, not suppressed.
