40-something photographer based in the UK. Always learning, always encouraging and often failing in the best way. Next con: Megacon London Camera: Fuji XH-2 Lenses: 56mm 1.2; 33mm 1.2, 100mm 2.8.

Watching the Traitors finale last night got me reminiscing about my time in North Easy Scotland. I'm more of a portrait photographer than a landscape photographer but I'm quite proud of this one. This is the amazing Bowfiddle Rock in Portknockie.

Bowfiddle Rock, a natural structure with the shape of an elephant, stands on the horizon as water swirls around the bottom of the picture made to look misty due to a long exposure effect.

And my other Lego build for the new year is this amazing Lego ideas Polaroid camera. I loved building this and love the fact that you can load a "Polaroid film" into it and press the shutter and it ejects it. I'm hoping they do more as I'd love a 600 variant and maybe a TLR.

A Lego build Polaroid sx70 land camera sits next to a Lego build Polaroid film case.

First Lego build of 2024 and it's on brand for me. Love this little 3 in 1 creator kit. The other two models you can make are a video camera and a TV but you know I couldn't resist the 35mm.

A Lego build of a vintage 35mm camera along with a Lego roll of film with three shots showing a couple of butterflies, a giraffe and a VW campervan.

Funny story about this picture. Due to our Airbnb cancelling an hour before we picked up the keys this image was shot in a small Travelodge room studio I mocked up to help keep everyone's spirits up. Despite that "hiccup" we had a great weekend.

Introduction time! Hello I'm Simon a hobbyist Photographer based in the UK. I'm mainly a portraits man but do occasionally dabble in other mediums too. I have a particular fondness for the geekier side of portraits being a massive comic book geek & am often working some amazing cosplayers.

A fawn faerun cosplayer holds a small bone offering it to the viewer.A cosplayer portraying the character of Vi from Arcane looks menacingly towards the viewer. Their fists wrapped in bandages are pushed together.A cosplayer portraying the character of Fjord from Critical Role stares out to the sea. His sword is buried in the sand and an eye stares from its hilt towards the viewer.A cosplayer portraying the character of Link from the Legend of Zelda stars at a fairy light whilst using a slate.
