This is a position that has been articulated by some parts of the left for some time. A tendency to rely on doctrinaire statements and claims that diplomacy hasn't been seriously attempted. Beyond the obvious (Putin not seriously interested in negotiations), much diplomacy has been attempted (1/n)

Sadly, I expected this to be the case and I discuss how Russian forces use sexual violence as part of their genocidal efforts in my book Replaying the Second World War. Just all the more reason justice needs to be part of any resolution to Russia's War in Ukraine: www.wsj.com/world/russia...

How Russia Uses Sexual Violence to Wage War

Ukrainian former POWs and civilians have recounted sexualized torture they suffered in Russian camps, as evidence grows that the practice has become a core tactic.

Putin is using civilian deaths from Ukrainian drone strikes to again claim Ukraine's "neo-Nazi" nature. May tie it to previous claims of Ukraine committing genocide in Donbas as Putin doubles-down on trying to sell the war to a nation that may be suffering some war fatigue. tass.com/politics/216...

Kiev's aggression against civilians stems from neo-Nazism, Putin says

The Kiev government's aggression against civilians comes as no surprise, Russian President said

Russian strikes on Odesa don’t stop.Russia is trying to make as many Ukrainian cities uninhabitable as it can In Odesa,2 people killed,8 more injured by the Russian strike.A mom who was in the park with her2 kids was killed. The children are injured.... A lot of civilian infrastructure was damaged.

How I know new week is coming ? Because reports can’t sh%t up about a massive Russian attack expected soon. 1000 drones , more than 50 missiles , some reports say . Oh the times when Mondays were still dull.
