🆕 New issue out now! 🌿 Special Issue: Plant Conservation Genetics From population genomics and genetic diversity to habitat fragmentation, translocations and conservation management, discover the latest research shaping plant conservation. 📖 botany.fyi/865ujn

The cover image shows Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, the habitat of Salvia daiguii. This species is only distributed on cliffs around caves, and faces an extremely high risk of extinction. In this special issue of Annals of Botany, Xiao et al. present a study that utilizes whole genome resequencing data to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the population genetic diversity and structure, population history, and deleterious mutations of S. daiguii, elucidating the genetic basis for the species’ endangered status. [See Xiao et al., pp. 20–33.]

📢 Abstract Submission Open! 📢 Abstract submission is now open for the 2025 British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) Research Conference. 📍 Where: Chester Zoo 📅 When: 8th & 9th July 🌎 (more info below)
