I get these stories regularly from the @auschwitzmemorial.bsky.social They are extremely painful, very poignant. I seldom repost, but I do look at them to see the tragedies these individuals suffered. I urge others to look at these as well, to help us remember why this should never happen again.

An El Niño-induced coastally-trapped Kelvin wave will likely raise water levels about 9-14 inches (relative to 1993-2025 averages) along the California coast in early October. Water temperatures will also increase. The sudden increase will be as much as “the entire climate change anomaly in one go”
