１日１ミリ。1944年8月7日。翌日のトータライズ作戦に備えるカナダ軍のM7プリースト改造装甲兵員輸送車 カンガルー。 カナダ軍は輸送車両の不足と兵員の損耗率を抑えるため、余剰となっていたM7プリースト自走砲の砲架と弾薬庫を撤去して装甲板で塞いだ即席の兵員輸送車に仕立てる。ノルマンディのバイユー郊外で８月２日から５日まで、約72時間で72台を改造する。砲を撤去した跡を塞ぐ装甲板の材料が不足して、近くの鉄工所で入手した軟鋼板を２枚重ねて防弾効果を高めるために砂をサンドイッチして取り付けた車両もあったという。 望遠レンズで捉えた写真は奥行きが詰まって車両が密集した雰囲気がよく出ている。
