We have one big brain-heart-gut axis of a body as many connections to share.

New video: "You Have One #Brain, Not Three." It dismantles the myth that you have a "lizard brain" for instincts, wrapped in a "limbic system" for emotions, topped by a "neocortex" for rationality. A cinematic lecture from filmmaker Van Yang. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZrv... #neuroscience

As suggestion to whoever. At 35 min about surprising comments that go on after awareness of tissue biology for cortex in mice and Hurler syndrome for experimental plan decisions due to what's available. IMO, it'd be post-translational-rich proteins in face of Golgi roles for lysossomal matters. :)

As I said, ask surf nerds, tumor biologists. Scientists are indeed observant creatures. Studying cell signaling and so with lipid biology challenges. :) 🪷

A study led by surfing scientists at @scrippsocean.bsky.social uncovers how seafloor slope and wave height help shape breaking waves — and what those changes mean for turbulence and sand transport. 🌊 https://bit.ly/4qQu42h

Not all who wandered were lost... history of conflicts at borders in Dresden or any cell membranes... nice illustration. I hope many cool and respectful scientists make lipid biology workshop-more-show. Wishing topological calculus for lilies. ⚗️🪷🇺🇳 @mpidr.bsky.social @training.ebi.embl.org @embl.org

Read a new collection of recent articles to accompany @embo.org workshop, Lipid Code to Life #EMBOLipidCode. Selected articles explore mechanisms underlying lipid transport, endosome biogenesis, & the maintenance of lipid homeostasis at ER–plasma membrane contact sites. rupress.org/jcb/collecti...

To @erturklab.bsky.social, persistent coronavirus related expression and clearance issues mattered to marrows. Following recovery in mieloma patients, recovering niches post irradiation or radiochemicals must contribute mostly to repopulation. No further harvesting for testing.⚕️ @alleninstitute.org

Even in remission, multiple myeloma survivors often have weakened immune systems. With @fredhutch.org, we tracked patients for 2 years and found their flu vaccine response lagged, but their COVID vaccine response didn't. Could a change in formulation help survivors? 🔗 https://bit.ly/4bNbeTg
