Annoyingly, the only book by Magda Szabó (translated into English) that I don't have is both very rare and extremely expensive. These are the only 2 copies I can find, and I can't afford either of them. My life is a Shakespearean tragedy, etc etc

For those who read in Russian, the title is "Руки женщин моей семьи были не для письма." (If you read in the original but it's not the language of the country you live in, does it or does it not count as translated literature? (Not seriously) asking for lots of us.)

Reread (first read maybe 10 years ago) this Hungarian masterpiece. No little review because I'm saving my words for the translated fiction book group I'm in. But it's fucking great.
