Congratulations to my PhD mentor @jlweiner.bsky.social who won our program’s best PhD mentor award!! Anyone who knows Jeff knows this is well deserved!
Procedural separation of appetitive and consummatory behaviors in operant ethanol self-administration: A review and open source analytical framework doi.org/10.1111/acer...
When I joined @jlweiner.bsky.social ’s lab, I told our lab technician Ann Chappell that I wanted to learn self-administration. She gave me a flash drive with every paper Hank Samson ever wrote. I felt like I won the lottery, read every one, and this paper is the ultimate result. Incredibly grateful!

Thanks for sharing @jlweiner.bsky.social !! Check out our new preprint! 🤓
Excited to share a new lab preprint. This paper is entirely due to the efforts of @oliviaortelli.bsky.social, an incredibly talented PhD student (who is starting to look for a postdoc!). She combined her love of the Hank Sampson operant sipper tube drinking model... www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
So grateful to have such a supportive mentor who champions me @jlweiner.bsky.social ! Thanks to the organizers and @rsaofficial.bsky.social for putting together a great panel and including me in it!
So proud of @oliviaortelli.bsky.social giving her first RSA talk... and blasting it out of the park!! #RSA_ISBRA2025
A visualization I created to share with family and friends about how the NIH indirect rate costs will hurt science AND our economy.
Super proud and excited to have this work out! Check it out (or not - it’s your choice 🙃)
Okay... I've been lurking here long enough... time to start posting. Here's a paper I'm really excited to have out. Thanks to the brilliant work of @OrtelliOlivia, we present a rodent operant ethanol/sucrose choice procedure based on the classic Samson sipper tube model. doi.org/10.1016/j.ad...
