Hear me out. The problem with Mastodon and Bluesky imo is that they lack the random, outright funny or interesting posts you used to get on ye Twitter of olde. X, for all it's horrors, still has this to a large extent (if you can block out the noise - possible!)

@kevinmarks.com hi, i wondered if i could blag myself onto your indie web starter pack? i'm not sure people actually use these starter packs anymore (they seem to have disappeared off bluesky's radar) but you never know.. :)

If it wasn't obvious (probably not) then there's a new comments feature in Pagecord which I'm really stoked about. Happy to onboard beta testers (need to have an active paid account).

True, don't roll your own. Pagecord Premium customers get private analytics included. One blog has had over 100,000 page views already this year, all for a $39/yr subscription. Would have cost £290/year to track this in Plausible! (Note: I am a Plausible customer paying £90/yr for photo website)

"The cost of analytics is not the cost of your analytics subscription: it's the engineering time and cognitive overhead you put on yourself." People often compare analytics tools by monthly price. But that's rarely the expensive part. There is also an underrated cost: engineering time.
