Drew at an open art studio for the first time. It also happened to be during a weekly event. It was great to draw there but my socially anxious brain is buzzing. I like what I painted tho! Wins all a round!

I just discovered that one of my favorite bands came out with an album 4 years ago that I completely forgot to listen to. After listening to half of the songs, I’ll sum up my feelings with a comic I just read: “As a hardcore panic fan, I’m trying to like this song. I’ll give it more time”

What is with the ai food photos on NYT Cooking? I see them everywhere in InstaCart’s Meals section. I already don’t like NYT but this is crazy ugly.
Today is the birthday of cartoonist Jackie Ormes (Aug. 1, 1911-Dec. 26, 1985), the first Black woman to create a newspaper comic strip that was read nationally in the US. She created Torchy Brown in Dixie to Harlem, Torchy in Heartbeats & Patty-Jo ‘n’ Ginger. Patty Jo became a toy doll.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. On days it’s hard to focus, I take my stabilos and draw some portraits or doodle some shapes. Experimenting with portrait drawing helped a lot today
