Trying to decide if I actually need a doctorate or if I just really love being in academia and studying and writing. And the answer is yes. But I guess I can decide next year if I want to be a PhD candidate. I need to get ALL of my paperwork together and prepare for that journey.

I need to go get some crossword puzzles from the grocery store. I'm very big on returning to my old brain-tingler habits from my childhood to keep my synapses firing. It's also why I'm so adamant about reading actual books too. I love the way reading engages my brain. I also love crossword puzzles.

Finally was able to book a massage for today and man this is the first time I've felt like I'm actually welcomed in my own body in literal MONTHS. I have been in so much pain and I think it's what contributed to a lot of my foul mood trying to manage it. My girl got my hip torsion fixed.

Nolan spent more time worshiping the days of antiquity as the "last real time of civilization" than actually telling the story of The Odyssey. But that's to be expected from Europeans. The rest of the world was doing just fine while Greeks were killing each other around that era.

So like, The Odyssey is only good if you look at it as a Christopher Nolan film and not someone who is trying to interpret and adapt the original classical text. There were a lot of things Nolan did well because he's overall a great film maker. And I've been a fan of his since Memento.
