I've been on the record that we should not care about the word "value" in MVP and should just give it to who we think the best player is. There's already an award for best QB: All Pro recognition at the position. I think it's silly to define an award in such a way that only one position can win it
Robert Mays @robertmays.bsky.social · 2y agoSaquon Barkley's season is the exact reason the NFL could use some sort of Most Outstanding Player award. I don't think a RB can be the most "valuable" player, by no fault of their own. But there should be a way to acknowledge that he's been the story of this season.
Remember, Thanksgiving isn’t easy for everybody. Some people got sewn into Charlie Brown’s pants at the big parade and, to this day, can’t stand bald boys because when they see them, they think they’re back in the pants.
Impressive if they just pulled that off period, but in a 28 point win seems almost inconceivable.
