Just being aware of the plight of orangutans is not enough. We need to care...and care enough to be moved to action! https://www.orangutancaring.org https://linktr.ee/orangutancaring

“Humans are lost in a false sense of self, shaped by social media, comparison and materialism. Orangutans live in the moment without ego or the need to prove anything. Let's fight for their survival, not just for them, but for the wisdom they offer us.” — Gary Shapiro, Orang Utan Republik Foundation

What makes us happiest here at Orangutan Caring is seeing orangutans in their rainforest home where they belong. This is Fiona who was rescued as a baby. After years of rehabilitation with Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP), she is now living wild and free in the Jantho Nature Reserve.

Orangutans are wise souls. Their wisdom is deeply rooted in the rainforest where they live in harmony with nature. They show us what it means to coexist with the natural world — supporting ecosystems, preserving balance and allowing life to flourish. Let’s follow their example by living sustainably.

Riki is an orphaned baby orangutan who was illegally kept as a pet for 2 months before being rescued and taken into the Orangutan Foundation's care. He's doing well in the Soft-Release Programme, but he's still a bit unsure about climbing, so clings to his roommate Roni for comfort. orangutan.org.uk
