35. He/Him. Sometimes I draw.

Said it before, but across ALL creative industries, there is a glassy-eyed ayahuasca-addled CEO somewhere, slowly sawing the head off the golden goose while it's still laying an egg, grinning manically. Above them, a stadium-full of cocaine-dusted shareholders clap uproariously. This will continue

"The news comes even as 'Spider-Noir' heads into the first weekend of Emmy ceremonies with 11 nominations — the most of any Prime Video program this year. The series also has a solid 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes" Are the shareholders happy.

The moronic discourse around The Lovers is maddening. Call me childish, but if you think you could do better then DO IT. In a world where human-made art is increasingly devalued & taken for granted, they made something truly beautiful, put it out online for free and people are STILL dicks about it.

Wrapped up Zero Company and I will say story-wise I think the ending was a bit of a letdown? Not that it's *bad* but it didn't really live up to all the build-up that preceded it, and some of the writing in it for the protagonist definitely feels odd if you're not playing the default human male.

Still making my way through Star Wars: Zero Company and god this might genuinely be a GOTY contender for me. Gameplay still isn't old, characters all still incredibly engaging, and holy shit what a good use of the IP. Plays on your knowledge & expectations of Star Wars in really interesting ways.

Been playing Star Wars: Zero Company for the past 2 days and ngl I would *kill* for a Mass Effect game from these devs in this style. They've openly discussed ME's influence on this game and honestly I say just give them the IP. It'd be the perfect way to finally allow other playable races.

“Be Strong enough to be gentle.” Peter Cullen tells the story of how his brother inspired the voice he would use to play Optimus Prime. It’s a simple yet poignant quote that sums up why Optimus and Peter are so beloved. Til All Are One. 💔

God I wish Fortnite would properly credit the artists behind it's original songs. There are some absolute BANGERS just sitting in there as Battle Pass rewards and in-game they're just credited to 'Epic Games' There's a song from a couple of years ago that's basically Junker Queen's theme song ffs.

Would love someone to explain to me how the BBC think it's appropriate to lead news bulletins 2 days in a row with Reform policy announcements, repeating their math verbatim, and not performing any analysis of their own as to the feasibility of those plans, all 3 years out from the next election.

It's something I've definitely complained about before. Why aren't we getting Star Trek stories pertinent to climate change, immigration, biodiversity, vaccinations, authoritarianism, AI, personal data privacy, misinformation, hate speech, shootings, corruption, wealth inequality, extinctions…

I forget who said it, but given the times in which we live, for a Star Trek show to have absolutely nothing to say is a total waste

First ever use of this system in the UK and it’s essentially just a reminder of things people already know that most are now branding an annoyance. No immediate action required, no new developments, nothing we didn’t already know. But hey, you really told those disposable barbecues, Andy.

Also, saw eclipse, was cool. Wasn't 100% coverage in my country so not quite the full 'goes cold, looks like night' experience I had watching on holiday in France in 1999, but still worth catching.

Tfw you have opinions (positive!) on Genshin's new third-person-shooter mode but then you realise you've never actually let slip online that you started playing Hoyo games when both Destiny and Overwatch were in between major updates.

Always amazes me how BioWare fans seem to have a sliding timeline in their heads of when EA acquired the studio so they can blame every game after the last one they personally liked on the buyout. ME1 is the only non-EA game of the modern era. ME2, ME3, MEA, and EVERY Dragon Age game was under EA.

Having a real hating how modern fandom treats narratives like logic puzzles to be solved or characters like video game fighters with hardcoded stats and set abilities kinda day. CinemaSins sucks. Powerscaling sucks.

Sure sex is great but have you ever experienced the high of discovering Star Trek fans who are super into the minutia of ship design but *aren't* miserable old gatekeepers who hate everything made after 2005?
