Hey so this new KOSA/KIDS Act proposal has a little note in it that creates a whole new special Trump-appointed team to regulate the internet. So no more Congress votes. No more checks & balances. Just whoever the president picks to decide the future of YOUR internet. You aren’t mad enough.

This Pride month, remember that straight trans people often have to go through our own intense journey of coming to terms with our identity, and that fundamentally alters the meaning of straight. I'm emotionally ruined. Somebody left a whole ass ROLL of bowling alley style, arcade style PARTY CARPET on the street outside my apartment and I decided to be responsible and not take it. I don't wanna risk bedbugs, and I have no way to properly clean it, so outside it stays. 😭😭😭

Piece of advice from experience: If there is someone you’re a fan of, be they musician, writer, artist, YouTuber, essayist, philosopher, whatever, ask what they could possibly do to lose your support for them. If the answer is “nothing” for ANY reason, reevaluate how you feel about that person.

I haven't posted art in forever, so I might as well dig through some of the stuff I haven't posted while I've been a total hermit. Here's the current cast of the Monster Hearts campaign I've run with @derbyghost.bsky.social for fucking years at this point. (details below)

Things that help calm the nervous system, quickly: - Box breathing (in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, repeat) - Immerse your face in cold water (activates mammalian dive reflex) - Humming (stimulates vagus nerve) - Exercise (anything helps, outside even better) - Impeachment and removal

Back in WV before the 2016 election, people treated me like I was insane for constantly telling them Trump talked about nukes like toys. I remember telling friends, coworkers and strangers alike. We're ten years down the fucking road and here we are. Fucking hate this.

This week, I got the bottom surgery consult I'd been waiting a year and a half for. Got given an estimate of another year and a half until surgery. Don't super know how to feel about it. I know I should be happy the opportunity is there at all, but it feels so far away.

I've struggled to engage with basically any form of social media since the move. Feels like we keep just narrowly surviving by the skin of our teeth because of the kindness of our loved ones, and that's a hard place to exist. I'd like to try to dig out of the hole. Thanks for the patience.
