We live by the railway line in Brisbane that is used to take coal from a Queensland mine to the port. Usually there are a handful of coal trains each day. The last few days there have been at least one every hour, because Trump's war is spiking the price. The mine must be working double overtime.

Listening to A Grand Don't Come For Free. It's still magic but I don't really understand why if a girl plays with her hair it means she's Robbie Keane.
Seeing Shamima Begum's name referenced in Australian news stories is a grim reminder that lots of the UK population feel that if a child is groomed by adults, trafficked by adults, safe-housed by adults and finally given to an adult specifically so he can fuck a child, it's the child's fault.
that 'recreate a photo of yourself as a kid' challenge is doing the rounds again
Chatting with Australians about the cost of UK public transport, and they can't even comprehend that this could be real (Deal to London annual season ticket: £7220).
Me after hearing the latest excuses for VAR being an inaccurate crock of shit.
Apparently I'm not being helpful with my daughter's English Language workbook when I define "bard" as "something a sheep did"
New trick to mitigate the stress and tension of watching a penalty shootout: Sit in row A, seat 99 at Adams Park. Sorted.
That feeling when you're accustomed to all public transport being 25 pence, and then you come to London on holiday and pay over twenty quid just to get your family from zone 5 to zone 1.
Wait did someone leave Baker Mayfield with two minutes and a one-score deficit again?
Just checking in on the progressive left in the United Kingd... Oh fucksocks
Very few things in sport give me more satisfaction than seeing Baker Mayfield absolutely thriving, while his former employers, who dropped him to bet the entire farm on an unrepentant sexual predator, flail around in the wilderness.
Queensland media on Net Zero: "Is Net Zero going to bankrupt this nation with the most abundant renewable energy on the planet? We talk with a fossil fuel executive, and for balance we also talk to a fossil fuel executive who was in a different class at Churchie"
"Where are you going to place your penalty, Lucy Bronze?"

When I was campaigning for Australian Greens in the recent election, we were up against Labor telling everyone that the only party of meaningful environment action was themselves. “Action, not outrage!”, the guy kept shouting over my conversations at the polling station. That “action”:
The best comment I’ve read on Labor approving an extension to Australia’s dirtiest gas mining project until my kids are nearly 60.
I think this is still my favourite joke from my old Grauniad cartoons.
Just seen that Leeds and Burnley are now mathematically relegated from the 2025/26 Premier League. Commiserations to their long suffering fans
For those who are obsessed with the existence of trans people, nothing will ever, ever satisfy them. As you are going to see.
