Fantastic new article from the Gardinier Lab! Comprehensive in vitro and in vivo work to show the role of ARHGEF3 deletion in bone formation.

🚨🚨 New Publication Alert!!! 🚨🚨 The Gardinier Lab just published new research in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research @asbmr.bsky.social! They demonstrated the effects of ARHGEF3 deletion on #bone formation and resorption! Check it out here: academic.oup.com/jbmr/advance...

More miR-awesomeness from @amandality.bsky.social and team in the @hfhs-bjc.bsky.social! Great diagnostic potential for miR's in both #Osteoarthritis and #RheumatoidArthritis.

🚨🚨New publication alert! The Ali Lab @amandality.bsky.social ‬ in the @hfhs-bjc.bsky.social uses sequencing to profile microRNAs in early-stages of both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis! Now published in Scientific Reports ‪@natureportfolio.nature.com‬, read it here: rdcu.be/eylic

This was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen ties with our @michiganstateu.bsky.social colleagues! Grateful to be able to share our stem cell mobilization work. Many thanks to the Co-Chairs @amandality.bsky.social @mattharkeyphd.bsky.social, Charles Day MD and Jane Manfredi DVM PhD!

Members of the Bone & Joint Center had a great time sharing and learning about musculoskeletal research at @michiganstateu.bsky.social and @henryfordhealth.bsky.social during the HFH+MSU Musculoskeletal Research Retreat. Our Chairman @shouldergeek.bsky.social delivered inspiring opening remarks!

Jonathan Braman, MD (Chair, Orthopaedic Surgery at Henry Ford Health) delivers opening remarks at the Henry Ford + Michigan State University Musculoskeletal Research Retreat held in East Lansing, MI on 06/17/2025.

Great paper from @boneybonebone.bsky.social of the Yeni Lab in the @hfhs-bjc.bsky.social. DTS could be very useful for understanding facet joint loading associated with spondyloarthropathies, or even new interbody or interspinous spacer devices! #Orthosky #Spine

New paper from Dr. Yeni, @boneybonebone.bsky.social, et al. just published in @jbiomech.bsky.social! The team used digital tomosynthesis (DTS) to quantify spinal facet joint width. They also showed that this technique can be used in vivo to dynamically observe human facet joint loading! #Orthosky

Grateful to be a (very) small part of such an amazing study! All credit to the awesome @amandality.bsky.social and her team for this important #osteoarthritis discovery just published in @naturecomms.bsky.social. The miR-evolution is now!

Excited to share our work on the small but mighty microRNA-126-3p in @naturecomms.bsky.social! We found this microRNA is elevated in four knee osteoarthritis cohorts and show in an animal model that it reduces the severity of knee osteoarthritis - at least in part via angiogenesis. rdcu.be/ebycj

ACL rupture frequently leads to post-traumatic osteoarthritis. We previously showed that ACL rupture disrupts conversion of Tryptophan (Trp) to Kynurenine (Kyn). Injecting IDO-1 into the knee after ACL rupture we restore Trp -> Kyn...and downstream Kyn metabolites! More on these later!
