We had a May Day action today, with around 35 or so turning out to say to politicians and admins: “Hands off Higher Ed!” The rain, the cold, & finals conspired against us, but we came together as part of this national and international day to celebrate the unity and solidarity of working people.

The AAUP is urging institutional leaders to resist these demands & prioritize student privacy & academic independence over capitulation to intimidation.

The amount of blatant profiteering and disregard for norms in higher education at public institutions is baffling. At the same time, maybe a speedrun record for no confidence vote to send a message?

Really cannot think of a better argument for the importance of becoming a dues-paying member of @aaup.org than the last week at Ohio State - our only hope to have faculty, staff, and student voices heard is if we organize

as someone that works for Another State University in Ohio this is unconscionable. if OSU wants to be a flagship public university they should act like one.
