I canned jelly for the first time yesterday! I had a friend help me can apple butter a couple years ago but she handled almost all of the actual canning so this was my first solo voyage. I made a small batch of peony jelly from my backyard flowers and managed to seal 6 out of 7 quarter pints!

WTF???? Why is one of the largest churches in Anchorage ALASKA displaying the confederate battle flag at an Independence Day event??? And why is Senator Dan Sullivan a participant in such an event with such a display???

The photo posted at the website of Mountain City Church (rebranded from the Anchorage Baptist Temple) showing Alaska Sen. Dan S. Sullivan giving a speech above and to the right of a huge Confederate Battle Flag. On the 4th or 5th of July.

Hey so are all of the millennial women rocking and crying in a corner about the renewed thin-is-in, ozempic culture stuff that’s gearing up now or is that just me and my friends

well I heard there was a cyclospore that found its way to the grocery store but you never eat lettuce before it goes bad, do ya well we needed a scapegoat for it all and Taco Bell, it took the fall but Taylor Farms was the one who sold it to ya hallelujah

I don’t tend to think about what I’d say if I met someone like Trump or Netanyahu. They are terrible but the chances are slim. I think a lot about what I’d say to Mike Dunleavy should our paths ever cross.

On the Sterling Hwy in Soldotna, there are two Mexican restaurants directly across from each other. Both recently closed and then reopened under new management (a story in itself). It’s been a topic of community discussion about which one is better. Seen today on FB -

Facebook post in “Kenai Food Club” - name of poster blacked out
“Although they have pretty good food Papi’s is the big fat no for me with Mary paltola (sic) being in the same building. I hate communists.”

There’s something strangely beautiful about how both right wing, sovereign citizen types and left wing, antifa types both use the same tech to keep their communications away from the Feds

Cheese and cracker moms, rise up. Apple sauce pouchie moms, come together. Gogurt mamas, it is our time. Cyclospora has brought down the berry mom, the cutie mandarin mom, and the celery stick mom. It is our world now.

Saw someone try to tell the Alaska senate hopeful to not denounce Platner now bc “it makes it seem like you were fine with the Nazi tattoos”. Let’s get something straight. The time is always right to call for the right thing. Do not let games of politics and perception get in the way of morality.

On April 18, I found out someone used my Walmart account to open a line of credit in my name, maxxed it, and abandoned it. I used Equifax to freeze my credit and report the fraud. It's been 72 days since then. I have received more than 100 marketing (not related to my fraud case) emails from them.
