Badenoch flailing around now on #r4today trying to defend this idiocy. Babbling incoherent nonsense. Truly woeful that this deeply unpleasant and thoroughly mediocre person is now Tory leader. And a better journalist than Justin Webb would have made that very clear. (Article from iPaper)

Badenoch says "they haven't shown any remorse" but as evidence says "we saw them sniggering when they were sentenced". Surely we'd need to know their attitude *since* they've served their sentence to know if they've shown remorse Kemi. #r4today

Colorado River. Humans are the most selfish, ignorant & destructive species on earth. If you have children/grandchildren, you might want to get engaged & be proactive in working with your government officials to save what is left of our natural resources. They will thank you ~

another Reform coup - free publicity from R4 for announcing a ridiculous anti-migrant ‘policy’ - just as their dear leader is standing for his own seat. Shame on the BBC

it needs to be treated like AIDS and Covid - choosing to view at a screening is still only reaching the mostly aware - yes they choose not to view on TV but more would and repeated screenings might get the message across - repetition is how we learn

I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer. Far from it! I passionately believe we have the solutions to slow down global temperature rises. Invest in that. Direct civil servants towards that and not a national briefing people won’t watch & lazy politicians will argue “job done”.

other countries do have more options for younger pupils. My ex went to tech college classes at 14 in Scotland - then got an engineering apprenticeship and later went on to work for an oil in a seriously well paid job.

Completely agree with this. I've always thought we should have a core academic curriculum to 16 that goes beyond maths/english/science. And yes maths to 18 is in principle a good idea (if the quals are designed right and it's funded properly!)

Thames Water CEO went unchallenged on the BBC on the claim that public ownership means water investment competes with health and defence. This is a myth! 99% of water investment comes from BILLS. Take 2 mins to complain to Ofcom and the BBC vist.ly/5d5xb

Ofcom and BBC, correct the record: Thames Water CEO misled the public about public ownership

Thames Water CEO lied about public ownership on the BBC. It is time Ofcom and the BBC corrected the record

on R4 - yet another obscenely overpaid water co boss saying you have to pay huge salaries to get best people - and how well has that gone so far 🤔 - yes they have a remuneration board which decides this so who is on that board I wonder?

Every criminal defence lawyer should now be asking - as standard: * Has any piece of evidence, schedule, digital search, summary, or unused assessment been conducted by AI? * Has any witness used AI in the formulation of their statement, exhibits or in preparation of giving oral evidence at trial?

braverman talking about rejecting the establishment as if she and most of the other MPs in Reform weren’t part of it in govt and their leaders being the most ’establishmeng’ that you could think of. Still good for when you have a by-election looming - BBC et al being completely played
