it needs to be treated like AIDS and Covid - choosing to view at a screening is still only reaching the mostly aware - yes they choose not to view on TV but more would and repeated screenings might get the message across - repetition is how we learn

Invest in that. Direct civil servants towards that and not a national briefing people won’t watch & lazy politicians will argue “job done”.
other countries do have more options for younger pupils. My ex went to tech college classes at 14 in Scotland - then got an engineering apprenticeship and later went on to work for an oil in a seriously well paid job.
Sam Freedman@samfr.bsky.social · 5d agoCompletely agree with this. I've always thought we should have a core academic curriculum to 16 that goes beyond maths/english/science. And yes maths to 18 is in principle a good idea (if the quals are designed right and it's funded properly!)

Every criminal defence lawyer should now be asking - as standard: * Has any piece of evidence, schedule, digital search, summary, or unused assessment been conducted by AI? * Has any witness used AI in the formulation of their statement, exhibits or in preparation of giving oral evidence at trial?
