and the reality is all data is produced. you design an instrument to measure something be it sentiment or temperature or frequency of occurrence and map your underlying signal to a useful construct even meters and celsius do not inherently exist absent the tool used to measure them!

There is a meme format going around Bluesky where people share an image of an arrow pointing to the bottom right, where the alt badge is on Bluesky. The gag or punch line of this meme is that when the user selects the alt badge, they get a joke. This is not the intended purpose of alt text.

Remember that you're trying to convince the attendee they need to see your talk. The organisers are picking talks the attendees should go and see, and will choose. It doesn't need to be "slick" it needs to be convincing of value.
