I am normally more concerned if Palace has a good preseason. The worst preseason game I went to was Reading away. Barely touched the ball in there half. A guy got kicked out after having an argument with the whole away end that we should be more angry. That was the promotion season.

That said, met expectations from a non English manager. I'm sure we could hire an English manager and meet expectations results. I always think the English manager should be English. They can be dual national. As long as they have British citizenship and consider themselves English.
England are roughly a top 4 nation in the world. Going out in the semis is meeting expectations. It's been a decent world cup. (Good outside of England).
