Last year, TSA began sharing passenger manifests with ICE, and ICE began arresting people at airports. After some initial arrests led to backlash, ICE pulled back a bit. But with the pressure on from the White House right now, we're seeing a lot more arrests at airports recently.

Getting the richest of the rich there took ~3,000 private jet flights. Then, the tarmac emptied the second the whistle blew. Private jet pollution spiked to 𝟯× normal.

The NYT story on the World Cup isn’t really about soccer. It’s about the private-jet class: people wealthy enough to opt out of the systems and rules the rest of us are stuck navigating.
The data for the tourney, through yesterday's game, shows **81.7 kt of CO2 above the baseline average for the same days/airports over the past 5 years... which is equivalent to an additional **17,288 gas cars on the road for a year. Any reporters who want a sneak peak of this data, hit me up.
