That scene got so much funnier to me after watching @paleontologizing.bsky.social and finding out how little a dinosaur dig costs. He's crowdfunded them via Twitch. I'd bet just one of those land rovers in the park alone cost more than funding Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler's dig for three years.

It can't just be dinosaurs *all* the time. For this week's #FossilFriday, here are some lovely fossil leaves from the Late Cretaceous of Wyoming. Plant fossils like this are crucial for understanding these ancient ecosystems, giving us information about everything from rainfall to C02 levels
