more work has been done with the game, including a pcg dungeon with custom tiles, boss doors with boss battles, and new enemy types. i'm still not 100% ready to release a playtest, but i'm hoping to get something ready by the middle of the month. maybe for SageExpo? #indiegame #unrealengine
"i'm just using AI as a placeholder" no, you don't NEED AI for placeholders. that's the cowards way out. use the assets you already have ffs! who the f cares if its "unprofessional", its still a prototype, and you relying on what you have is more HUMAN than telling a chatbot to steal from others!
polished the card system a tad and added a new intro countdown to add starting cards to the deck at the beginning of a game. i've also added shooting based weapons now to further expand the gameplay of the game. #unrealengine #indiedev #gamedev

current progress of the game. the mana system is showcased in fuller detail with using abilities like sliding and attacking limiting resources, as well different enemy types like bomb enemies that can knock you down, and larger king enemies that are stronger versions of their minions. #gamedev

one week after Episode 8, i think i pinpointed why TADC Episode 7 did not hit as hard. i think had that episode ended with the crew having that conversation about staying in the circus and Caine's crash out/transformation, it could been the perfect cliffhanger to the next episode.

every time i see advances in ai, it makes me want to give up even more. why even bother trying anymore when the littlest of effort you can make for free can get you more views than something you put your hard earned money into? i'm losing every amount of hopium i've had.
Gatchaman Crowds should be studied, because how they managed to predict so much of the worst of modern society in 2013 is almost perplexing.
