Roger Taylor was on fine form at Usher Hall, Edinburgh last night. Not so much heavy duty drumming now, but still a joy to see him at the kit. His voice remains as varied and exciting as always. Onwards to the Roundhouse! @oiqfc.bsky.social

It's been eye-opening, revealing and entirely uncelebrated! The good folk of Stone Town had no knowledge of today's significance. Nor did... The Freddie Mercury Museum. I had to tell them! Kinda made it more personal. No crowds.... @oiqfc.bsky.social

White professor ‘ MattGPT ‘ whose most recent book contained fabricated quotations, non-existent source references, & left ChatGPT URLs accidentally embedded in footnotes is sad about Jason Arday’s death but still wants Arday & all black academia held to higher standards than his own writing .

The right-wing media hounding of Jason Arday: 188 articles in the space of a few days. 158 articles in The Daily Mail, Times, Daily Telegraph, Daily Express & Spectator. Maybe like cigarettes the r/w media should carry a health warning: these papers can kill.

I think it’s just worth remembering that as the media handwring to justify publicly humiliating and hounding a man to death, just two weeks ago they gave glowing eulogies to another man with a history of domestic violence and brushed off his own statements about having pedophillic impulses

Boris Johnson lied himself all the way to the top of the tree, and was cheered every step of the way. Because he possesses the holy trinity - Eton + Oxford + white skin.

One thing I know for sure about UK media if you die & your work was characterised by disgusting racism broadsheets & broadcasters will dedicate hefty think pieces on what a great & complex contrarian you were . Actual victims of racism are rarely shown the same respect .

Hope the Daily Express, Telegraph and anyone else who took a plagiarism story about a deeply flawed and, yes, unbelievable individual are now looking at themselves for the coverage they have salivated in. Of course they're not. Jason Arday did not deserve to die. He was hounded. We won't learn.
