Reading the replies to this post, I realise I have quite a few bijou TBR stacks around the house AND a bookcase shelf. It made me happier - such optimism for the future; such curiosity still! May it never change.

There is far less tolerance of sexism, homophobia, etc., among the population as a whole. Just look at any 1970s sitcom and count how often you cringe.
