And it’s even higher than official numbers as I’m unemployed, but not officially counted. (Have an employed husband)
Unemployment rises to 11-year high of 5.6%
To be honest, the most important part of receiving my Whisky and More order is the wee packet of Jelly Beans! It’s the first thing I check for, before checking the order 🤣
Mōrena e te whanāu, the Sun is a welcome sight after the coldest night of winter yet (it was 10.2° in our kitchen at 6.45 am). A cold, clear, start today and I'm feeling the cold even with wearing a beanie and two merinos. God knows how cold it is in Central Otago so wrap up well. Kia pai tō rā!
So has anyone asked the Prime Minister what he uses AI for? He’s talking about it so much, give us examples, dear sir.
Drives. Me. CrAzY! Why don’t drivers understand roundabouts
“Roundabouts were also a major issues, with many drivers not knowing when to correctly indicate, and others not indicating at all.” -shivers in late-night talkback producer-

“Luxon paused to ask the room how many businesspeople were using Claude or Claude Code, calling AI adoption “a huge opportunity”... Today The Spinoff tested that advice on the transcript itself, giving it to Claude and asking for “an assessment Do read! 😂 thespinoff.co.nz/the-bulletin...
Christopher Luxon had a rough day (and may have another one today)
Spare a thought for the prime minister who had to apologise for his comments to Rotorua business leaders and answer endless questions about Winston Peters.

Snowing in the Welly city burbs, can hear the local school kids going nuts, guess they must have been allowed out to play in it - so much squealing 😂 Hubs reports everyone at work looking out of the windows at it! I’m Scottish so think this is hilarious 🤣
We now have our new WCC Rates bill, following our new Tiaki Wai water bill. The combined rates and water cost has risen from $7,002.75 to $7,616.11 a year—an increase of 8.76%. WCC invoice has fallen, but the separate Tiaki Wai bill more than offsets that reduction. Quel surprise 🙄
My insta is full of Americans moving to Aotearoa NZ! …and sharing their every micro experience about it!
Didn’t Paul Henry sayhe was getting into politics for the sake of his grandchildren and their future…? So are they the “little shits” he wants sorted, cos this is a bit extreme to get them some discipline, no?! 😂
No. Absolutely not. The government represents all our *citizens*. The government is responsible to the *citizens*. Businesses do not feature. They are not a partner. They do not have rights. They are not “equal” to the government. They do not have a voice. They do not have a say. #nzpol
Tale as old as the time I’ve lived here - 17 years! And they still haven’t figured it out! 🙄 My first visit to Queenstown was in 2004 and it was fairly busy but ok to get around. But since moving to NZ this has been an escalating problem that no one has addressed but continue complain about!
'We just can't handle any more': Queenstown congestion concerns keep building
Looked through the #WOAP Burger Welly entries and concluded that I’m not ‘up’ on the hospo across the city like I used to be, and truly how delicious can a burger get versus the classics we usually order for a lot less $?! Tell me what I’m missing!
Timeline cleanse - breathe iiiiiin aaaand ouuuuuut Beautiful winters day on Kāpiti coast #NZ
Surprised to see our Kākābeak flowering already, in winter, but love to see it! 🌱
$637 a quarter for our water bill from Tiaki Wai - let’s see how our Rates bill looks. Wellington, or is it NZ, is expensive to live in.
Parliamentary privilege is interesting. I’m not sure anyone could be so rude and racist at work and get away with it,…? I know they wouldn’t, as they shouldn’t!
Had a job interview today 🎉 I thought it was clear from my CV I’m currently not working, unemployed, but I actually had to spell it out, and it got weird. Don’t they know there’s a heap of people out here looking for work?!?! Great to actually get an interview, but not sure it went well 🤔
Trains into Wellington are struggling with the icy ❄️ conditions 🙄
The thing they don't tell you about getting older is that staying up really really late one night can ruin your entire month
