Huh. Didn't realise how much my style had changed until I went back to update this old sketch. Drawing has felt like trying to get blood from a stone lately, but this was encouraging, so I'm posting it as a reminder.

the lessons we need to take are clear. Dolly said "find out who you are and do it on purpose", and Tim Curry's line is "don't dream it, be it" they would both be disappointed if we wrote that off as corny. so what? it's necessary. we have everything to lose if we are dishonest to ourselves.

Trying to de-rust after barely drawing for the past month. Allowing myself to have fun sketching again, rather than focusing on making a finished product, feels great. And Jax is a great warm-up doodle subject lol
