We’ve spent many, many hours over the past few months searching the rock pools of Cornwall for a rainbow sea slug. Today, we finally found one! Absolutely worth all the time we’ve spent - it was truly breathtaking.

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”

Seriously, this is a winning line of attack on so many races with so many parents. And probably a number if non parents as well!

Why is it when I think of *creating* my mind goes femme? Always. Whether it’s writing spec fic, or designing parts to 3D print for my hobby projects or to solve issues around the house, or going into the kitchen and whipping up a meal on the fly… if I’m being creative I want a skirt to twirl.

Woop! Big News! Today while typing away on chapter 2 of the As Yet Untitled story I’ve got going (“Sarah’s Story” in my head) I realized a better title. A way better title. So much better it might give away a plot twist from chapter 3 or 4. But if I neuter it, trim just a bit… yeah, that works.
