Update: Feeling unsafe Savannah self-discharged & left QEH in a private ambulance. Even with the CEO of a national charity advocating in person, Guy’s refused to admit her. After waiting over two hours in the ambulance, she was forced to return to QEH. www.gofundme.com/f/severemerg...

Today (23 Feb) reps from Forward ME are meeting with the DHSC and NHS England to discuss progress on the development of a clinical care pathway for people with mild-moderate ME/CFS. However, crucially, the pathway fails to include people with severe ME. 1/3

Tessa Munt MP highlighted Savannah’s case in Parliament. She said the Government’s ME delivery plan says avoidable deaths should be ‘never events’ but her critical condition was made worse by inadequate treatment and without specialist services cases like this will keep recurring.
