I hope one day someone asks me to prove one of my novels wasn't written using AI so I have an excuse to share my absolutely unhinged notebooks including how many times I refer to my own ideas as fucking stupid in the margins.

Two and a half million dollars for a two book deal and only then did agents and others go "actually the writing is really shit, maybe it was AI." It's like when AI won that short story contest and the judges went "in hindsight the fact it was total crap should have been a red flag."

👀 Fascinated by the "withdrawn by its agents" detail. So the AI use was so blatant that the agents due a huge payday preemptively withdrew the contract?
