that HWA newsletter op-ed was disgusting, juvenile, stupid, AND poorly written, but I do think we need to underline the distinction between "the organization allowed a bad essay to be published in an official communication" and "the HWA endorses this point of view"
also, my response to that is "so?" Just cause Hollywood jumps of a cliff, doesn't mean we should too

here's the thing- I never dreamed of having a best selling book, or getting on tv or etc etc I just always liked to write and wanted to be published and to sell it. I also knew (realistically) that what I write is REALLY WEIRD and not the kind of thing to take off with a general audience
