National backs its policies as unemployment rises to 11-year high
Jesus SHOOT the bloody ball don’t look for the penalty. BOOOOO #VWFC
Unemployment hits 11-year high under Luxon's Government. 49,000 more New Zealanders are out of work than when this Government took office, according to figures released by Stats NZ this morning showing 171,000 people unemployed and actively looking for work.
2°C wind chill Muaūpoko Otago Peninsula. Stunning day though.
#nzpol #backontrack 🤔 Seasonally adjusted: 5.6% = 171,000 people 😥☹😠😡
This was an exhibit we spent a ton of time at in the Academy Museum, which I highly recommend for Movie People. My girls are creatives. I adore Harryhausen; a master of his craft.
Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts are amazing even now. He animated the sequence by himself for more than four months -- without computers or even an easy way to check his work. We're looking into how he did it: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/how-ray-ha...
Oh fun, Boston Red Sox put 6 runs up in the first innings against my Chicago White Sox. Davis Martin gave up a grand slam into the green monster Not the start you want to a game

We are in an 11 cycle of white male graduates of the toxic Canterbury University business school fucking the economy. 'In eleven years' = John Key & Chris Luxon They must be so proud of their alumni
Has an embattled govt ever survived the old adage? “It’s the economy, stupid”. (11 years ago PM was National’s John Key. What is it with white males with BComms from Canterbury 1980s & failing economies).
New Dunedin City Councillors has turned us into NZ's laughing stock www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/3610...

Undergarments on display and “a person locked in a shower”? A Dunedin councillor’s appearance in a Zoom call is raising eyebrows, and questions.

As stated previously (perhaps I wasn't paying enough attention over the years), but all things Web & online media Nick Bilton was essential reading 20 years ago (jaysus it was 20 years ago). What happened to him? So sad.

What a metaphor for ACT: Throw sauce on shite to hide how hideous it is.
As schools reported throwing out nearly one in three Compass lunches late last year, the Ministry of Education looked into adding sauce to make the meals more appealing but shelved the idea over cost.
Sauce. This was the solution considered. Give me strength.

Unpopular take: Business will NOT take a 10% hit in profits, they will ether drop wages of the few remaining check out staff, or prices will go up 10% across the board. If you check out yourself, that's your decision (I do both), but IMHO it won't go well for the workers/consumers Just a thought
Can we have this here in Australia? Shoppers should be paid for their efforts in serving themselves #auspol

“There is at least one important section of society where little shittery is rampant, destructive and harmful to the environment of the workplace. It’s actively impeding the ability of well-behaved people to perform well & limiting productivity. I’m talking, of course, about parliament.” No notes🙌
The little shits are coming from inside the House
Act wants to deal with the little shits in the classroom. Perhaps they should clean up the ones on their own turf first.
