In my new OpEd, I discuss the health harms of the MAHA-MAGA-manosphere & ways to prevent them I explore what clinicians can do when they see boys & young men in clinic, what the public health community can do, and what parents can do IMHO, the MAHA-MAGA-manosphere dudes are terrible role models

"What can we as physicians do to prevent the health impacts of the MAHA-MAGA-manosphere, either in clinical settings, in our public health work, or in parenting?" Read the #OpEd by @gavinyamey.bsky.social: www.medpagetoday.com/opinion/seco...

So, I've started a substack. I'll be writing about biology, but my first posts are about applying statistical methods to one of my hobbies: track fandom. In the first posts I describe the Pareto trade-off between a fast overall speed and finishing speed: jkpritchard.substack.com/p/greatest-1...

Greatest 1500m races? Fast times vs fast finishes, and the Pareto Frontier.

A statistical analysis of how overall race speed relates to finishing speed.

How thick do you have to be to care so deeply about the ethnic make up of your descendants but not at all about whether they will have clean air to breathe or a livable environment?

El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"

21percent.org?p=4129 This piece about the Arday affair highlights how the University uses public money to bully whistleblowers into silence. This includes expensive letters to me on behalf of Prof Abraham threatening a lawsuit for defamation. An empty threat; the truth isn't defamation.
