My brother is VERY close to the ignition point of the Old Trail fire. He’s slightly upwind, so this fire won’t get him, but the entire West is primed to burn. I’d like thank big oil and government for this. They’ve known for decades the damage they’re inflicting, but money is always more important!

I LOVE the mountains, but occasionally, a beach ain't so bad. This is Maui, between Kamaole and Makena beaches. It's one of my "must stops" when I'm on Maui! I could give exact GPS coordinates, but it's more fun to find this spot on your own. 😊

My place in the Sierra Nevada is at about a 7100 ft elevation. It's cooler so rattlers are typically hibernating (brumation technically) even into July. This year, not so. I started seeing a few in early June! And now, there are A LOT OF THEM!!! ⚠️ BE ADVISED ⚠️ www.sfgate.com/northcoast/a...

Peaceful and quiet: No fireworks, no Harleys, no obnoxious people, no bad news! I’m at my place in the mountains, elevation 7100 ft. I’ll have to leave at some point, but that’s a thought for a different day. My dogs are enjoying pristine lakes, clean air, hiking and all the play they choose. ☮️
A friend of mine happened to see several Trader Joe’s bags (similar to these) in my pantry and told me that they’re collector’s items and are quite valuable. I said: “you CANNOT be serious,” but she assured me it was true. Please tell me people don’t genuinely collect junk like this. Anyone?
