Anyone else get cramp hangovers? Like the worst of the cramps seems to be over but I'm fatigued, lightheaded, short of breath, headachey, and slightly nauseous. Seems to coincide when my periods are heavier than normal too - even in peri, they're pretty light so it's not anemia. Idk.

Any astrologers want to weigh on on what it means that I had my period during the full buck moon a couple weeks ago and now also have it during this planetary alignment/eclipse/meteor shower peak happening today? (Juat kidding. I already know it's just perimenopause and a curse from the old gods.)

Not a fan of my uterus' new Russian Roulette routine when it comes to cramps. Used to be I knew Day 1 was going to be the worst with possible Day 3 shenanigans as well. The last few periods, it's a total guessing game. Today there was a bullet in the chamber.

Mobile mechanic said our missing oil is due to a leaky pcv valve. Not the head gaskets! Should be less than $200 to fix. Whew.

RISE AND SHINE MOTHERFUCKERS I've got day 4 of my new job (will I have access to all the files I need today?), a period that arrived 2 weeks early, and the mobile mechanic showing up at 1:30. All while also being in mom mode. As a great woman once said: Life is emotionally abusive. On we go.

Me last week: I'm glad I'm starting my new job with a couple weeks before my period hits. Me a few hours ago: Sheesh. This migraine, fatigue, and gut ache has me feeling like I'm getting my period. Good thing that's still a ways out! Me a few minutes ago in the bathroom: CURSE YOU, UTERUS!!

I accidentally dropped a piece of chicken in the trash.

I feel like Mamdani is Mr. Roger's coded and El-Sayed is Mr. T coded.

My favorite thing about my new job so far is the abject horror everyone seems to have about having their camera on. They had a Team intro meeting for me and I was like "sorry, having camera troubles" and everyone went "oh ew, camera, no just leave it off" and nobody had theirs on.

Was trying to make sense of what at first appeared to be the world's smallest bunny bounding through the grass toward the creek and then realized it was a frog! I did not realize frogs just sort of wandered around taking little field trips.

I've had a bird bath since we moved into this house. It's been in a few different locations but I never saw many birds use it. Recently Miss 13 told me I should put it in the area where I did the rock border, and it was definitely a pretty spot so I moved it there. Birds in it nonstop now.

Day 3 of the new job. Still no server access. IT manager out of office. At least there is a very fat woodchuck to look at out my window.

Slumber party in my room tonight due to overnight storms. Moved my chair over where the desk used to be to accommodate Miss 13's mattress and Hammy decided he was joining the sleepover (he's never laid in this chair before.)

Anxiety was so high that husband had to pick up friend solo and then I drove Miss 13 to meet them in town which turned into hanging with her for a half hour while she acclimated and they got situated and now I'm super overheated and also mentally drained from helping her get read and out the door.

Our village is having a belated Pride fest tomorrow and Miss 13 is going WITH A FRIEND and she is so excited and also absolutely terrified. Let's hope I don't try and chop off a finger like I did last time she went to Pride.

Took a year (thanks adhd!) but I finally installed part of the cat wall system last weekend and look at the potato that was feeling brave today.
