I love that Nicorette ads have to say it contains nicotine. I mean, I sure hope so.
I think I’ve decided I don’t actually like the Fuji X-T series very much. The X-H feels so much better in my hand, and they still offer a vertical grip for it which I find all but essential for both comfort and multiple-battery convenience.
I was playing Who Said What in VRC with folks the other day and my “first video game” answer was pretty easy to identify as mine: my first video game was Lloyd’s Color TV Sports, which was its own console-and-I-use-the-term-loosely, just a machine from the late 70s that played Pong variants.
So apparently there's a synthesizer convention in Chicago called "Knobcon" and I imagine all the Brits are snickering into their beers.
More and more I feel like a lot of my favorite authors are women. Barbara Kingsolver, Jo Walton, Becky Chambers, Ann Leckie...
The sequel to Big Walk will be Big Run. “Big Walk walked so Big Run could run”, they’ll say.
Signed up for my first autocross on October 3rd, going to go toss my 124 around a track.
"Excuse me, Westley... I mean, Mr. Roberts..." "I told you never to use my dreadname!"

Sometimes I think about how much more useful things like digital assistants could be if they knew more about me, but companies can basically never be trusted not to sell or otherwise misuse your data or be good enough stewards of it to not have it just straight up get stolen.
I’ve never quite understood the aesthetic of this lens. I guess if you’ve been searching high and low for something that makes it look like you stuck an Oreo on the front of your camera?
Might not have noticed this duck (nor the three others) right next to me if @shayne-the-yote.bsky.social hadn't pointed her out.
The replies are like "I'll just pirate it!" and I'm sure all your trans friends and associates are happy to know you're still a fan of the woman who's made it her life goal to ruin their lives, you just don't want to pay her for it.
As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
It’s kind of inspiring to look back at some of my older photos and go, “Wow! That looks great! Did I take that??”
Happy 62nd birthday to Keanu Reeves, who has always understood the assignment.
Another shot from Victoria on Saturday, this one in Fan Tan Alley. More in the vein of my usual work.
Millions of Americans may not receive their mail ballots in time, or at all, because of a secretive, court-defying system being rushed into place by the Trump administration. Two months before the midterms. This isn't by chance. It's a blatant attempt to steal an election. Share this everywhere.
USPS rush to implement Trump order could cause ‘catastrophic failure’ of mail voting, whistleblower claims
A whistleblower claims in a new report that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has embarked on a “secretive, rushed” effort to implement President Donald Trump’s mail voting order ahead of the midterms,…

So, have people bombed Google Maps with name corrections for "Lake America" yet? Might be a fun thing to do.
Y'all if please only bid on something if you're serious. Don't bail on it, artists have bills to pay too
Hey so...I'm probably going to put the serval back up for sale soon. Hadn't heard anything from the winner in over 24 hrs, and now they've deleted their page so... ): Very frustrating
My ADHD short-term memory is basically a stack: I'll notice something that needs doing and it'll instantly become my top priority. The trouble is that the stack isn't very large, and if I was in the middle of another task or tasks they're in danger of just falling off the bottom and being forgotten.
Going to try to work up at least one of my recent photos each day for a while, starting tomorrow.
Maybe if LEGO is that committed to LGBTQ+ rights and they can't get out of their contracts (which, let's face it, they could if they wanted to badly enough), they should donate a portion to a trans charity for every Harry Potter set they sell.
