I've been enjoying some city mapping while writing Lullaby Thunder, not for the reader's benefit so much as my own. Scenes form so much easier if I can feel what distances the characters traverse, what their mundane surroundings are and what the next five minutes of movement look like to them.

Saw a guy with a really strange T-shirt that read "Abercrombie", except it was two words, so it said "Aber" and Crombie", except it didn't say "Crombie" it said "Grombie", except the "O" in "Grombie" wasn't an "O", it was the Ghostbusters logo, except the ghost was yellow. Anyway, cool shirt.

Just submitted Psychopomp Blues to @fantasybookcritic.bsky.social!! Here's hoping it lands with someone who likes it If anyone out there knows any more reviewers, I would love to hear your recommendations!

Star Trek: You get into a brief, neatly-choreographed fight with one alien and it's all part of a diplomatic misunderstanding that can be solved with science. Babylon 5: You get rushed by five aliens, kicked to the ground and beaten senseless and you probably deserve it.
