We went from no rape to no cat ears in less than two months. Everyone who warned about this was right
The impulse to say that erotica CAN'T say anything of value, that porn MUST be mindless indulgence, is an extension of this problem by the way. Sex and kink are just parts of life. Art that explores both primarily can touch on other subjects meaningfully as well. Stop trying to silo everything.
Anarchy Goose@anarchygoose.northsky.social · 2y agoThe desexualisation of media (everyone is beautiful, and no one is horny) combined with an increasing hysteria around the 'pointlessness' of sex scenes is a key part of the fascistization of western culture and if we're going to fight back we're going to need to make it normal to be horny again.
