Having to develop 20 unique rooms in a few days feels like a bit of a challenge, but when Jay Dragon told me the Wanderhome picklists got built over one weekend (I might be OVERestimating), I felt confident I could do something for this that'd be enough for the game night.

I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!

Me in 1768: I dislike the new Prime Minister and the Steam Machine is still too expensive. Me in 2026: I dislike the new Prime Minister and the Steam Machine is still too expensive.

One of my sidequests in the last year has been to argue for indie TTRPG's inclusion in the art world, partially so that I can apply for arts funding, display work in artistic spaces, and potentially make space in a new(er) niche. It's been..interesting! Needs more practice. But the idea is solid.

I frequently describe ttrpg theory as people extrapolating the Wright Brothers' plane into space travel and I won't stop. We don't have a collective theory of what a roleplaying game is but we're very confident we know exactly how many entries in a roll table is ideal.

I don't know yet how to get my Bluesky feed to look like my Twt feed originally did. It probably never will, but I feel like I'm still on the outside of the indie analog game community. I feel like there's a door or community "starter pack" or ??? I have to join that'll reconfigure this feeling.

Hi after joining this platform 2+ years ago and never really going here I think I should TRY to REJOIN another short-form text platform where a lot of my connections have moved. This begins "Blue Month," where I see if I like it here. And this is a (re)introduction. Where have I been? Well... 1/x
