Disinformation pushed by business-aligned right-wing groups and media. Other reasons are systemic problems (like our lack of national healthcare). But they’re exploited by the right.
Senators Johnson and Moreno are clowns from whom I don’t expect anything, but Rand Paul and Roger Marshall are fellow physicians and should be ashamed of how they’re attacking Fauci.

The Physicians for Measles Caucus in the US Senate is losing its most prominent member, as Republican Bill Cassidy, MD and RFK Jr. confirmer, has lost the primary. Many Republican Senators have violated their oath of office. Bill Cassidy was one of the few to violate the Hippocratic oath as well.

Texas Children's caved and ended care under pressure in April 2022, over four years ago and they still got targeted by DOJ and Paxton. NYU caved and they still got served with a grand jury subpoena. Caving and abandoning will not save you. You have to fight these bastards or they will destroy you.
